John Lowndes

Before joining Lowndesconsult, John Lowndes was employed by a major British Consulting Engineering practice. He was involved with many major projects World wide including:

	Channel Tunnel, UK to France.
	Highway Tunnels in Hong Kong.
	Singapore MRT.
	Caracas Metro.
	Motorway Tunnels in the UK.
	Highway Tunnel in China.
	Ventilation studies London Underground.
	Cross river Tunnels in Uk; Mersey, Dartford, Tyne, Blackwall.
	Underground section, for Skytrain in Vancouver, Canada.
	Avon Railway Tunnel, NSW, Australia.
	Visiting lecturer on tunnel ventilation and safety at the Fire Services College.
	Responsible for the production on behalf of the Department of Transport, of a new Tunnel Design Guide.
	Liaison with LFCDA & Railway Inspectorate on safety matters for Heathrow Express and DLR.

John Lowndes has been a regular attendee at International conferences, both as author, delegate and Chairman.

He has sat on important technical committees notably;

PIARC Tunnel Committee.
NFPA 130 Technical Committee.
