Lowndesconsult is a specialist Tunnel Fire/Life safety consultancy led by John Lowndes who has considerable experience in this area and is able to call on the services of other specialists as required. 

Lowndesconsult assist contractors or other non-specialist consultants in areas of tunnel design, ventilation and refurbishment and can provide contractual advice both on new or refurbishment projects.

Lowndesconsult will undertake reviews of both designs and operating procedures. It is sadly true that in many major incidents, human factors have exacerbated the situation thus making procedures, training and rehearsal vitally important.

Lowndesconsult is closely connected with an aerodynamic testing facility specialising in impulse ventilation so that model testing together with complimentary computer simulation can be accommodated.
